At Park Pediatrics, our Travel Vaccine and Consultation Program in Gaithersburg MD, Greenbelt MD, and Takoma Park MD has been serving families for over twenty years. We created this service in response to the needs of our community, as many of our families travel frequently — whether visiting their country of origin or exploring destinations around the world. Our goal is simple: to ensure that children, parents, and even non-patients in the community are fully prepared and protected before international travel.

Pre-Travel Vaccinations And Consultations
We provide comprehensive pre-travel consultations that include destination-specific counseling, review of routine and travel immunizations, malaria prophylaxis when indicated, and personalized guidance on food safety, water precautions, insect protection, and illness prevention abroad. We also prescribe preventive and treatment medications when appropriate, including medications for traveler’s diarrhea and altitude sickness. As a CDC-approved Yellow Fever Vaccination site, we are authorized to administer the Yellow Fever vaccine and provide the official International Certificate of Vaccination required for entry into certain countries. Our team stays up to date on global health recommendations to ensure families receive accurate, current travel guidance.
Travel consultations are available for both pediatric and adult patients, including individuals who are not established patients of Park Pediatrics. We recommend scheduling travel visits at least 4–6 weeks prior to departure to allow adequate time for vaccinations and preventive medications.
