Reach Out & Read - Building Healthy Minds Through Reading

At Park Pediatrics in Gaithersburg MD, Greenbelt MD, and Takoma Park MD, we believe reading aloud is one of the most important things families can do to support a child’s development. That’s why we proudly participate in the Reach Out and Read program.

Helping Children Thrive Through Reading and Connection

During well visits from infancy through age 5, children receive age-appropriate books to take home and keep. Our providers also discuss the importance of reading together daily to help support language development, early literacy skills, school readiness, and strong parent-child connections.

By incorporating books into pediatric care, we aim to nurture not only healthy bodies, but healthy minds and imaginations as well.
